VK Play is now probably the most understandable and reliable playground for Russian users, on which all the functionality and payments are available, and given that Atomic Heart is one of the most striking and expected projects of this winter, the decision on cooperation seemed effective and logical for both sides, so partnership has developed organically.
Were the ATOMIC Heart team special conditions for accommodation in the store?
We cannot discuss the commercial conditions reached within the framework of this transaction, but as I said: our goal is a comprehensive support for developers, regardless of whether this large studio or beginner. In the summer, we announced that the lowest commission on the market has a very low commission on VK Play. Our basic conditions – 5% (95% of the proceeds from placing the game on the site are received by the developer), it is also possible to publish games of individuals, marketing support and much more. When we created VK Play, we conceived it as a platform on which it will be as comfortable for players, of course, their games will not disappear, payment will work, accounts will not block. The fact that Atomic Heart appeared on an exclusive on our site, gives a guarantee to the developers and, above all, to the users themselves, that everything will be in order with the game. We constantly refine the site and do everything possible so that users and developers are convenient to use our services.
Robert, back in the beginning of summer, the words about the transfer of Atomic Heart to 2023 were stuffed, and now winter is indicated as the release window. In general, December is perfect, but the opinion on the transfer of the game for the next year has spread.
Since the release of the February trailer with the announcement of the release window, a lot of things have happened that significantly influenced the team and development. Quality is our main priority, and we continue to aim in this winter.
The system requirements of the game for the PC since the beginning of 2021 have grown markedly.The current option is final or changes are possible?
At the beginning of the journey, many games put the so -called “plugs”, and we are no exception. The plugs appeared back in 2018, when we first filled the page on Steam, so it certainly does not make sense to compare the current parameters with those old ones. “Atomic heart” is a high -tech game, but our team made great efforts to conduct high -quality optimization and make a game on a PC available for a wide audience. Yes, the game should be available to most players in good form, but players with advanced iron should be really outstanding. This was one of the most important tasks for us, and we believe that we have achieved the goals.
Will there be Denuvo in the game? If so, whether the protection for performance affects?
Yes, we planned the Implementation of the DRM system. Now it’s still difficult to say whether it will affect the performance or not, but we do not forget about the presence DLSS – Technologies that gives a strong FPS boost, which in any case will play losses if they are.
How you plan to spread the game in Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe, in principle, on consoles? This is especially true for digital sales in Russia and Belarus.
The game is located in PS and Xbox ecosystems and obeys platform rules. We cannot influence blocking payment systems or closing access to the game in some regions.
Will PlayStation and Xbox discs be available?
Discs will definitely be, but most likely in a limited circulation.
Tell us about optimizing the game on PlayStation and Xbox both the past and the current generation.
We reacted quite responsibly to the optimization issue and from the very beginning of the development we held a hand on the pulse. Of course, at the start, we tried not to interfere with the flight of fantasy with various restrictions, but, on the other hand, we understood that a significant and high -quality optimization would need a significant amount of effort and time. The active optimization process began more than a year ago, and now we are very pleased with the result. I will even say this: I am very proud of what successes the team has achieved in relation to the stability and performance of such a huge and complex game.
What indicators of resolution and FPS do you strive for PS4 and Xbox One? How it is now played on old consoles?
On PS4 and Xbox One will be Dynamic resolution 1080 And 30 fps. It should be borne in mind that this iron appeared almost 10 years ago, but we still managed to achieve good results and optimize Atomic Heart for the old generation. Yes, it was not easy, but we did it.
What will be the modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S? What are the permission indicators and FPS?
The PS5 and Xbox Series X will have only one mode that supports simultaneously 60 FPS and Dynamic 4k. The Xbox Series S will 60 FPS and Dynamic 1440p.
How many hours will the ATOMIC Heart pass at an average level of complexity? And after passing – whether the "new game+" will appear?
There will definitely not be on the release of the new game+. I can’t promise, but it may well be that we will decide to add this mode in one of the future updates. Now the game is balanced at a high level of complexity, and it is under it that opponents and combat system are configured. It is on high complexity that all those details that are difficult or almost impossible to notice by medium or light are opened, simply because the exactingness for the game itself, to the response, to the interruptions of various actions increases. The fighting itself is quite dynamic, so it is very important that the game also reacts dynamically to the player's input. As for complete passage, I think that 25 hours a player can easily spend on a plot, but I would recommend choosing a hardcore regime and learn how to enjoy him. Firstly, this will give more feedback and emotions to the player, and secondly, platinum will be available only for passing at the maximum level of complexity.
What should be the general sales of Atomic Heart to say that the game has already become successful? Last year, you said that the sequel will probably come out: plans are still valid? You can tell what the continuation of the story may be devoted to?
I do not like to run forward and dream of what has not happened yet. We have come a long way with the Atomic, and I hope that sales will correspond to the ambitions of the game and our team. In any case, the main thing for us is that the players enjoy. If the players are happy, I am sure that we will be satisfied in the context of the question asked.

How much the world will be filled with Soviet culture and references to the history of the USSR? Will there be a fierce cranberry?
Atomic is a game in the Soviet setting of the 1955 model. There is literally all the environment about this, but at the same time the game is very modern. There is no cranberry.

What difficulties in development did you encounter how the process of working in the studio is being built?
Covid carefully patted us nerves. When the air travel stopped and the logistics of delivery operators were broken, we were faced with incredible difficulties – we were at that moment in the process of production Kitszen and probably caught all possible “unexpected”. It was a difficult time. When switching to the remotes, all processes in the studio were rebuilt in an unimaginably short time – about 2 weeks for everything, otherwise we risked seriously out of the schedules.
