Leaving a residential, inpatient, or outpatient treatment environment is often more challenging than expected. You’ve changed, but the people, places, and things around you haven’t. Some of the same triggers you had before can be reactivated and we recognize how frustrating and upsetting that can be. The ability to spend 6 months to a year in a supportive environment allows you to learn more about yourself and your addiction.

The proper support, combined with a safe environment and first hand know-how will guide you to experience a new way of being and behaving. A sober living environment reinforces honesty and integrity as it supports you on your journey to acquiring a great new lifestyle. At Eco Sober House, the team takes the time to connect with local Boston-area professionals and providers that can help our residents in many areas. We can help with referrals to clinical therapy, couples and family counseling, addiction classes, therapy groups, nutrition and wellness services, life coaching, stress management, exercise and physical training. Through therapy, residents may learn to identify triggers that could entice them to go back to engaging in substance abuse once they leave the sobriety house and re-acclimate into the community.

Residents who aren’t enrolled in an outpatient program must attend between seven and 10 weekly recovery support meetings. Those opting for a non-12-step based alternative, including SMART Recovery and Refuge Recovery, are encouraged to do so.
